Kissing Bugs & Chagas Disease – What You Need To Know

Look-Alike Bugs

We’ve been overwhelmed with inquiries about look-alike species that are not kissing bugs!

Before you submit information about a bug you found, please take a close look to see if it has spikes on its back, wide/flat back legs, or any other characteristics that most closely resemble non-kissing bugs. See images at the bottom of the “Found A Bug?” page.

If so, it is not a kissing bug. You have found a wheel bug, a leaf-footed bug, or one of the MANY look-alike insects.
